March 2010

Finally, March has arrived!  After two enormous snowfalls, I can’t say I’m sorry to see the month finished.  Activities had to be cancelled and rescheduled, but most of the problem was the feeling of being at the mercy of Mother Nature.  Our Pub and Movie trip was a great success for those who joined.  Lunch was delicious, and the movie (It’s Complicated) was hysterical!  On the 25th of February the Marlton Senior Club held an appreciation luncheon for Larry Esposito.  Larry has worked 18 years for Evesham Township, dedicated to the transportation needs of our senior community.  Thank you Larry, you will be missed.

A new addition will be added monthly to this newsletter.  In the back, will be a calendar of free activities happening at the Gibson House, flip it over, and fill in your other monthly activities.  I recommend you sign up in advance for free activities, and call to be sure the event was not cancelled that week.  Sometimes the volunteers, who run these programs, need to make changes.  Most Mondays, we’ll have free movies from 1pm to 3pm.  The 1st, 3rd and 4th Tuesday, we have free crafting classes, with all crafts going to the needy.  Wednesdays will be card and board games.  Call Gerri at 856-985-9792 ext.1, for sign up and to schedule changes
