Marriage-Civil Union License Requirements
Applications are taken by appointment only. Couples may make an appointment for the application up to six months in advance but cannot pick up the license any earlier than 30 days prior to the wedding. The State requires a 72 hour waiting period from date of application to date of issuance.

Couples must bring with them the following: The application can be taken in the following places: If the Bride/Applicant B or Groom/Applicant A is under the age of 18 but over the age of 16, parental consent by both parents is required. Along with the parents, two witnesses to the signing of the parental consent form are needed at the time of the application. If the Bride/Applicant B or Groom/Applicant A is under the age of 16, in addition to the requirements listed in #5, the permission of a County Court Judge is also required. (Judge Cornelius P. Blood Tests are no longer required as of November, 1997.
