Special Meeting

The Special Meeting of the Evesham Township Council was called to order by Mayor Brown at 7:40p.m.  The meeting was held in the Meeting Room of the Evesham Township Municipal Complex at 984 Tuckerton Road, Marlton, NJ 08053.

Flag Salute.

Mayor Brown announced that the meeting was being held in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act.  Notice was sent to The Central Record and The Burlington County Times, posted on the Bulletin Board and sent to those who requested notification.

ROLL CALL: Present: Croft, Hackman, Howarth, Mayor Brown

            Absent: McKenna

Also Present: Township Manager Czerniecki, Deputy Township Clerk Friddell

Mayor Brown thanked everyone in attendance to celebrate the time and service to community by former Mayor Augustus F. Tamburro.

Mayor Brown stated that in thirty-one years there have been only three Mayors and that such leadership has helped bring Evesham where it is today.

Resolutions

Resolution No. 294-2010 - Resolution Conferring Title of Mayor Emeritus Upon Former Mayor Augustus F. Tamburro

Mayor Brown read Resolution No. 294-2010 into the record.

On motion by Councilwoman Hackman, seconded by Deputy Mayor Howarth, it was moved to adopt Resolution No. 294-2010.

Recorded Vote: Aye: Croft, Hackman, Howarth, Mayor Brown

               Nay: XXX

           Abstain: XXX

Motion Carried 4-0.

Mayor Emeritus Tamburro stated that he was honored and overwhelmed.  He thanked everyone in attendance, including representatives from the Evesham Township Fire District.

Mayor Brown presented Mayor Emeritus Tamburro with a plaque in recognition of his sixteen years of dedicated service as Mayor of the Township of Evesham.

Assemblywoman Dawn Marie Addiego read into the record a joint resolution of the Senate and General Assembly honoring and commending Mayor Tamburro on his service to the Township of Evesham.

Resolution No. 295-2010 - Resolution Dedicating the Township Meeting Room

On motion by Deputy Mayor Howarth, seconded by Councilwoman Hackman, it was moved to adopt Resolution No. 295-2010.

Council Comment: Mayor Brown invited the public to join him in the hallway where he announced the dedication of the Township Meeting Room as the Augustus F. Tamburro Council Meeting Room.

Motion Carried 4-0.

Mayor Emeritus Tamburro thanked the Mayor and Council for their recognition, the residents of Evesham for their support and stated he was overwhelmed by the dedication.

On motion by Councilwoman Hackman, seconded by Deputy Mayor Howarth, it was moved to adjourn the meeting.
